Michael Bittman, is an Emeritus Professor in Sociology at University of New England. He was President of IATUR from 2005 to 2013. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia and has published on the sexual division of labour, intra-household bargaining, work-family balance, ICTs, children’s activities, population health and reliability and validity of time diaries. He is just finished co-editing a training manual on how to analyse of time use data for the United Nations and is a part of team of researchers investigating the changes in the social organisation eating in the last quarter century.
